The problem
Adhesive was never going to hold a power strip.
Most under-desk cable trays ship with a strip of double-sided tape and a promise. It works for about three weeks. Then the adhesive gives up under the weight, the tray tilts, and your power strip is back on the floor — this time with a sticky rectangle left on your desk.
The alternative has always been a drill. Which is fine, unless the desk isn't yours.

The Hook Mount
It hangs on your desk. That is the whole idea.
Two steel arms drop over the back edge of your desk and take the weight the way a coat hook takes a coat. Gravity does the work. Nothing is glued, nothing is screwed, and nothing is left behind when you take it off.

Tightens by hand.
A knurled thumbscrew on each arm closes the gap against the underside of your desk. Turn it until it stops. That is the entire installation — no drill, no screwdriver, no anchors, no template.

Adhesive trays are the most common option in this category — and "it fell off" is the most common thing buyers say about them. That’s the problem the Hook Mount was built around.

Questions people actually ask
Will it fit my desk?
Any desktop up to 2.3 inches thick, which covers almost every desk sold for home use — IKEA, standing desks, solid wood, laminate. Measure the back edge where the tray will hang. If you’re over 2.3", it won’t clamp.
Not sure how to measure it? The Fit & Setup Guide walks through the three measurements to take, and it takes about three minutes.
Does it work on a desk with a back panel or a cable channel?
It needs an open back edge to hook over. If your desk has a modesty panel flush to the top, or a lip that runs the full width, the arms won’t seat.
Will it damage the finish on my desk?
The clamp pads are the only points of contact. Hand-tight is enough — you’re holding weight from below, not fighting it. If your desk has a soft or lacquered finish, a strip of felt under each pad is cheap insurance.
What actually fits inside?
A standard 6-outlet power strip plus two or three chargers, or a small router. The Expandable size takes a full 12-outlet strip.
Can I move it to another desk later?
That’s the point. Two thumbscrews off, two on. Nothing is left behind — no holes, no adhesive residue.
Fixed or Expandable — which one?
Fixed if you’re hiding a power strip and a couple of bricks. Expandable if you’ve got a router, a dock, or a wide desk you want covered end to end.
Do I need the Edge Hook too?
No. It’s a separate module that uses the same clamp, for getting a headset or a bag off the desk surface. Buy it when the desk still feels crowded.
Or do the whole desk at once
